That scene fucked me up too and I'm still pretty brokenhearted over it. I was ugly crying all over the place during the last half of that episode. Shorter was my favorite character and I hated watching what they did to him. I actually closed my eyes during the last few minutes because I couldn't bear to watch anymore (and then I had to rewind it to read the subs). I wasn't sure if I wanted to keep watching either, but I watched episode ten anyway and I'll likely keep watching 'cause I wanna know how it ends. I'm done if they kill off Eiji though.

Same, anon. I actually didn't trust Shorter at first, but when he actually became a traitor he really grew on me. By the time it happened, I really cared about him and it massively sucked. Eiji is my favorite though, just seeing him hurt is tough.

I'm gonna get to this scene soon, I know. Damn. This is the first time I'm active about an anime online, not by myself --- at least seeing the discussion here. I'm gonna cry, huh...?

You're gonna be in for a world of pain, nonny, but we'll be here for you!

Haha me too, anon, this is the first anime I feel like I've watched as it has come out and talked about it online (mostly just here). The episode in question was pretty rough, not sure I cried but it was definitely emotional horror.
