I don't understand, when did Rose Mcgowan disavow male victims of sexual assault and harassment?
As far as I'm concerned, 'me too' doesn't deny there are male victims as well (Anthony Rapp was one of the first 'me too' male victims, when he tweeted about Kevin Spacey's assault on him).
Sorry OP, this smacks a little of 'but what about the mens?'

A lot of the people in that movement don't necessarily doubt there are male victims... as long as the alleged perpetrators are also male. As soon as a woman gets accused of being an abuser though...

So this IS "what about the mens??" then.

No...its.. about women who commit sexual harassment?? At least that's what I'm reading?

Right. If your only comment in regards to "there are male victims that routinely get ignored when it's a female perpetrator" is "Lol male tears what about teh menz amiright" you are probably part of the problem.

lol, male tears - different op

McGowan is part of the lynch mob whenever a man is accused of sexual assault, but asks for patience and understanding when a woman is accused. That is bad. She should be part of the lynch mob 100% of the time.

Off-topic, but I generally think of a “lynch mob” as something that murders people, not something that calls people hurtful names.

I agree with you. NGL, my kneejerk reaction upon hearing about a female-on-ale abuse is disbelief too, but I realize that it's a double standard so it's not somehing I would openly say. Women are just as capable of being cruel and abusive as men.

Rose McGowan is a mess.

I could go on and on. I guess it should be noted that she was raised in a cult which helped shape her behavior, but she can be massively hypocritical. When the person is male, you must believe the person making the claim at all times. When the the person is female, you should be gentle even if they're a pedophile.

(Note that she now has distanced herself from Asia Argento, who is now trying to claim that she [Asia] had been receiving nude pics from the boy she raped since he was 12. http://fortune.com/2018/08/27/rose-mcgowan-asia-argento-jimmy-bennett-nude-pics/ )

As for the MeToo Movement, there's been issues with male survivors (other than Anthony Rapp, mind you) being shamed and pushed out of it. There's also been people who tried to use it to slag people they don't like. There was one person who openly talked about faking a MeToo for Bernie Sanders to get rid of him as well as somebody talking about fake MeTooing Rian Johnson.

https://lawandcrime.com/exclusive/apparent-hillary-clinton-supporters-are-plotting-to-falsely-accuse-bernie-sanders-of-sexual-assault/

I can't find the Rian Johnson one. It was on twitter with a The Last Jedi critical account saying they should MeToo him.

Liana k talks about the male survivors of the MeToo movement here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IRJe2bpQ8To&t=75s

This isn'[t to say the movement is entirely bad, just that some people are misusing it.
