Fans should go forth and hate fictional characters to their heart's content for any reason they please without shame.

It makes you a petty, immature fucktwit, is what it is. So yes, you should feel bad because I've seen this attitude always, ALWAYS carries over to real people.

Nah. It's natural to hate the person who's with the person you want to be with, but most people leave them alone and treat them decently if they need to interact because they know it's not okay to be a fuckwit to real people.

But I mean, I do very much carry over the assertion that it's fine to hate a real person for that reason too as long as you keep it to yourself. You just can't tell how common it is because you don't know who hates whom when they don't show it.

NAYRT, and I don’t give a shit about hating fictional people so long as you’re honest about why, but that’s horrifying. I’ve never hated anyone because I had a crush on their partner. Hatred is for assholes, not people who are lucky/kind/hot enough to be with someone I wish I was with. And the only people I’ve ever seen do the “how dare they, they’re mine” bullshit are teenagers and people who never matured past that. Take that attitude far enough and you get incels.

No, it's not. Like, it's really not normal to hate the person with your crush. I've liked plenty of people. I don't hate their partners. I may be a little envious, but I get over it because chances are I either lost my own chance or I was never in the running to begin with. And also I'm not that fucking awful to feel entitled to a person that I hate the person they're witch.

You sound incredibly fucked up and maybe should stay away from people. Get some damn therapy before you end up a shooter who shot up a diner/movie theater/school dance/night club/whatever because your crush dared to like someone else and you want to punish them like the entitled shitstain you are.

I agree, lol. People get way too caught up in their favs. Fictional characters are fictional characters, they aren't real humans and you don't need a reason to like or dislike them.
