Saw this and was glad to see people still care about the Old EU characters passionately. I did a re-read of the series last year (despite the protests of my fellow surrounding Star Wars fans that it was now pointless) and by the end of it I really felt like stuff was just being thrown at the wall to stick vs an actual coherent plot that fitted with characters I'd watched develop over the course of several books.
