Sometimes, the original Japanese has its own karaoke at the bottom of the opening for TV airing. Also, people just like to sing along with opening themes. Are you also opposed to them translating the song lyrics?

It doesn't seem like a huge jump to post the original and/or translated lyrics on a board or website instead, or if it's an IRC only fansub group, offer them as a separate text file for download.
