that's a good point but only confuses me further, because why mention rpf then? why feel creepy and invasive about fictional characters? i feel dumb

Because if you take, say, Dean Winchester, make him an actor rather than a demon hunter, and mess around with his characterisation to your heart's content... What's the difference between that and writing about Jensen Ackles with a different name slapped on?

Personally I don't care, I think most rpf about actors is really about the characters anyway.
