If you could own one Pokemon as a domestic pet, which one?

Keep in mind you're the owner, so you're legally liable for anything it damages or people it terrorizes.

Something small, mammalian, and Normal-type in that case, lol. Rattata or Meowth, or maybe an unevolved Eevee. Even those would probably end up getting kidnapped by the governemnt for scientific experiments or something. Alternatively just a Mew that could psychic itself away if there was trouble, but would still be pretty easy to feed.

Pretty sure a Mew would instantly run away and cause trouble... IIRC it had a pretty big mischief streak and could teleport through walls

Okay, then nothing that knows any magic period. Bite, tackle, tail whip, DONE.

Maybe a Meowth with a Pay Day. but realistically I would have no idea how to sell mysterious gold coins without being taken in by the IRS or something

I don't think a Squirtle with Water Gun or something would cause too much damage but Mew is canonically a trickster kind of character

Psychic in general would cause a ton of trouble lol

I don't know, I'm mostly thinking about how I could salvage the situation if anyone saw the Pokemon. If it looks generic mammalian enough, it might be just mistaken for a wild animal. If it looks too crazy, people are calling the cops or FBI or military or whatever. I guess some of the reptiles/fish might work, but I don't know much about raising them. A normal mammal seems easier.

DA but again, Sudowoodo is the obvious correct choice from this angle

Would Mr. Mime be like owning a slave or a pet? Bit confused about the ethics of that. The one Ash's mom had seemed really useful.

Just for a pet...Slowpoke. It'd be like having a water sloth.

Eevee seems like a safe and cute option.

Sylveon, because it's beautiful and doesn't seem very destructive.

(I would say Mimikyu except for the "people it terrorizes" part.)

rowlet! it's a cute round owl, how much damage could it do? i mean, damage that a normal pet wouldn't also be able to do.

... misdreavus would be hilarious though.

I'll go with Pyukumuku again. Hopefully the first time it throws up its innards will be the last time anyone gets within lawsuit causing range.
