144. YES. THANK YOU, person I don't know. My friends have all read his books - I tried to read one and was like, "Seriously, guys?"

148. No, it was just awful. The second season wasn't building up, it seemed more like it was just... watered down blah. First season they were *always* building up to the finale, from the very beginning - the bomb, remember? Second season storylines were obscenely boring, IMHO, and you didn't even hear what they were supposed to be saving the world from until about 6 episodes to the end.

Everything WAS leading up to the finale-- which they ended up WRITING OUT. Which was supposed to be about Adam letting the virus loose and Maya ending up saving everyone.

No, they didn't even mention the virus until halfway through. And nothing was leading up to it. And the storylines did suck. Just because you're a "new fan" doesn't mean you have to defend a sucky season.

Um, the original S2 finale concept had Nathan collapsing from the virus, not gunshots. This (probably) explains the bloodless N/P pics floating around. Unless, of course, the producers are lying, which seems unlikely. So there was supposed to be more than just an empty threat.

Also, in a full season, the virus would have been in play for more than half of it. 17 out of 23 is pretty respectable. 15 out of 21 isn't half bad either.

Having to backpedal to deal with RL issues sort of raises any existing suck in a show to the next level, no matter what show you're talking about. And having to follow an act like S1 contributed a lot to the existing suck.
