I was talking about fandom-related instances (fan artists, fanficcers and whatnot reblogging this stuff by other people in the fandom, scam artists entering a fandom just to scam it ...) but I guess I didn't make that clear enough?

It wasn't all too clear what the "it" was when you said "it" is a scam, so it sounded like a generic "don't give money to people on the internet that ask for it, including fandom people too" PSA to me, at least.
