102 What I don't get is how it could be "just yours" when it's so huge, and I don't mean fandom, but generally in the culture. Covers of magazines, news stories about lines in the stores, movies, her appearances, and all that.

160 I feel, and this might just be my own experience, that the people who feel that way really aren't in the fandom anymore, or if they are, don't talk much about their problems with canon and don't enter into canon conversations so you aren't that aware of their feelings on the matter. After DH came out things got really wanky and a lot of people either split or went underground because the OBHWF types were shouting so loudly.

161 One Week is on a loop at MoMA here in New York, outside an exhibit on prefab housing. God, I adore him LONG TIME. However, the only silent film icon I have is Clara, so I shall use her.
