My IQ is 140, and all the people responding to this secret with "My IQ is like WAY HIGHER THAN YOURS" are making me feel like a fucking idiot. :\

People with high IQs often act like IQ means a lot more than it really does.

Why? IQ is a flawed measurement system and you really shouldn't feel inferior over the pissing contest that this secret has created.

Don't overinvest in the number. A lot of fans, a lot, are like the guy in Catch-22 who had "lots of intelligence and no brains". I know because I'm one of them, and I recognise my fellows everywhere. :) Cleverness is terrific, but so are honesty, compassion, diligence, and common sense.

Agreeing with above comments. IQ tests measure certain kinds of intelligence, and ignore others. It's also been shown that you can increase your score by around 10 points simply through practice. They mean a lot less than people think.

In addition to what people above me have said, I have the feeling that many of the people commenting here have only been tested unofficially, and unofficial tests tend to skew high. I have been tested officially, but was never told my exact number. Which annoyed me at the time, but now I'm actually pretty grateful.

That's why I never bothered to find out my IQ. I know I'm smart, and it's pretty much just a random number -- one that's based on logic and spatial relations, no less. Both of which I completely fail at. So finding out my IQ would just depress me.
