They were definitely in love. Whether that love had a romantic/ sexual component... only Paul knows the answer to that, and really, it doesn't matter. They were in love, had a nasty breakup, and moved on with other people (Linda/ Yoko) while continuing to have strong feelings for each other.

I'd be interested to see what their relationship looked like in 2018's social climate. Yet another reason to hate MDC.

Gotta wonder if we wouldn't have already had the full story of his and John's relationship by now if not for Yoko. I think Paul likes talking about John and seems to be getting more open about the love there as time goes on.

This sounds like it was before John and Yoko were together and also not the worst thing on the list of Shit John Lennon Did? Yoko tells this story of when Nixon was elected (or re-elected?) and John was so mad that he grabbed this random chick and took her into the next room to have loud, angry sex and everyone else had to sit awkwardly with Yoko, and someone put on a Dylan record to try to drown out the sex noise. Can't speak for Yoko, but jacking off with your male friend does not compare to that, IMO.
