I once watched my room mate watch Psycho for the first time and she didn't know any of the twists. It was amazing. She was genuinely shocked and I think that's a rather special thing.

Oh, that's cool :D. Talk about a movie that would be tough to avoid spoilers for! (I've always thought it would've been entertaining to be among the very first audience who ever saw that movie. They must've been going out of their minds.)

For my sake, that movie is an example of how a spoiler only added to the movie for me, funny enough. I knew about the infamous scene going in, because it'd been talked about and parodied and referenced so many times over the years...

...and yet when I finally saw that movie in full for the first time, when that scene came, my stomach still dropped anyway. Because now I had the full context and build-up to really drive home just how scary it was.
