I like to read Urban Fantasy. I like to watch high fantasy.

anything w/convincing world building

I love lots of fantasy, but I'm all about the high fantasy.

Well, I sorta mentioned it above, but: surreal-West Coast-realism fantasy, I guess.

creepy rather than gory

This. I can handle some gore if the plot is good. But gore doesn't make up for a bad plot. I want creepy and I want intelligent.

Psychological. But really, anything that is not gore.

Psychological horror is my jam.

Ghost stories, high on the atmosphere, low on the jump scares.

Action comedy is probably my favorite. Unless....superheroes is a subgenre of action?

East Asian gangster action!!! Chow Yun Fat!!!!!

Ridiculous, over-the-top 80s and 90s style action movies. Also Jackie Chan.

Gotta love those 80s/90s action movies. There's something really pure and stupid about sitting down to watch Commando or w/e.

Yeah, sometimes I’m in the mood for a cinematic masterpiece, but sometimes I just wanna watch the good guys win through the power of kickass one-liners and a good pyrotechnics budget.

I love the action genre.
