I whacked it in a bag of rice as soon as I got home, yeah. The staff at the shop I took it to said that it looked like only a small amount actually got inside, but I guess that's all it takes. :( I feel like such an idiot for even taking my phone with me on a day like today. It was a proper storm. My own fault.

Ziplock sandwich bags. They'll protect your phone from any rain or other water and allow you to use the screen just fine through the plastic. Just stick the phone in the bag, close it up and you're good to go!

I should add, I once got caught in a downpour and got utterly drenched. Everything in my purse got soaked, but my phone was just fine because I had it in the bag.
