[Sara Sidle on CSI]

Really? I shipped her and Gil so hard when I watched the show. They always seemed like they were flirting 110%.

yeah, this. both those characters were introverts but I did see the chemistry there.

I thought she and Greg had good chemistry (owing, likely, to their IRL friendship). I think if the other person has charisma, she does okay reciprocating.

I thought the Gil/Sara thing fell flat though.

Yeah, I definitely saw chemistry between her and Greg and was really sad when they never got together.

i think being asexual and having no chemistry with anyone on the show are not necessarily the same thing

but i'll agree about the lack of chemistry though; it's not that jorja fox is a bad actress so much as she had very little to work with (sara/grissom was a colossal failure, particularly compared to how heather/grissom set the screen on fire)

Her character was definitely sexually attracted to men.

Whether you think she had chemistry with them or not. Now, do I think that sex was generally a low priority for her? Yes. In fact, I think most things that weren't work, were generally low priority to her.

It's funny. When I first watched CSI, years ago, I was stupid in love with her and, like, hissed at their relationship so I never gave it much thought. Upon recent rewatches of the show, and especially after they got married, I did feel like their relationship fell flat. They're both reserved and whatnot, but also, Gil seemed flighty where Sara was legit trying. I dunno, maybe I need to do more rewatching...

Also, anyone think Sara/Gil/Lady Heather poly could've worked, assuming Sara had been more down with sharing? Askin' for a friend. The friend is me. I want to know.

Wrong. Sparks flew between her and Gil.

(Anonymous) 2018-09-25 06:15 pm (UTC)(link)
There were more sparks between any other main cast member and Gil, than Sara. Catherine, Warrick, Nick, Greg... even Brass.

I liked the interactions with Heather, but that was clearly more of a 'this is fascinating' than actual attraction going on there.
