It's a crush on a character and they're having little fantasies about it. Fantasies! I'm pretty sure they know he'd kill 'em or mutilate them or whatever if this was happening in reality. Or, y'know, imagine they could be Ms. Quinn, heh.
And finding the personality of "would kill the person dearest to them..." etc. sexy is not exactly uncommon in fandom. How many people absolutely adore the most twisted and evil of villains? Loads! People post about it on FS because, hey, it does seem a bit weird...probably in the same way people feel weird about rape fetishes or other kinky things. Yeah Joker is terrifying. For some people terrifying also equals hawt.
Yeah, so you don't need to protect the dumb joker fangirls using your superior grasp of the character. Fangirling is fangirling, y'know? (I'm not a Joker fan or anything, I just can see where they're coming from.)
