I hate hover-over anything. I want to see the thing I point at, not some random thing the last AD thought I needed to see.

Ugh, same. Whenever it's possible I disable the hover function on a site.

I wonder how much of it is tech hurdles vs product decisions. I would be surprised if they hadn't at least tested it roll-over previews. It's entirely possible that they don't actually work as well on YT as they do on PH. I mean, the demographics and functionalities are slightly different.

Most youtube videos have hover over previews. At least the ones I watch do. I don't watch porn so maybe I am thinking of something else but on youtube if you mouse over a video you get a few seconds preview. Not every since video but at least 75% and all the of the newer ones.

I think it depends on the length of the video. Shorter videos don't get it.

That might be it then because I watch a lot a of shows. Like ones on missing people or unsolved crimes, cooking, paranormal, creepypasta, etc... Most of those are at least 8 minutes or longer.

I wanted to add that I am watching one of the newer "Ask a Mortician" videos and 15 out of 20 'Up Next' videos have rollover previews. But her videos are 7 to 9 minutes on average.

Hmm

How have I never seen that before

I've definitely noticed it on videos occasionally. I think I've seen SNL sketches with it. It's not a universal thing by far.

I mostly watch YT on my phone or on my PS4, not a computer as much, but on the PS4 app it has hover previews
