Tattoos!

Do you have them? Want them? Hate them? I'm getting mine re-done next week as it's gone that dull, green-grey blurry way that old tattoos do. I've toyed with the idea of getting a new one but I know it can be a slippery slope and I don't think I'd be able to stop getting loads done once I started.

I have a teeny tiny one in an inconspicuous place, but I got fat and the skin stretched, and now you can't even tell what it is anymore. But I'm still glad I got it. It was a gift, and I was very fond of the person who tattooed me.

I have three. If I could do it over again, I'd go to an actual shop to get my first rather than the scratcher/supposed bank robber I actually saw. I went to her because she was recommemded by my BFF who has 19 tattoos, but my BFF also has her share of bad work & is a cheapskate.

I want to get some of the Digimon crests tattooed on me, but I can't afford a nice tattoo right now, so I'll hopefully get them when I'm more financially stable.

I have the logo of my favorite band tattooed on my right arm. The first guy messed it up so I had it re-done and now it looks great, though I don't usually wear short sleeves. Even though I only got it last year I'm a little concerned about how it will age since it's black so I can't really cover it up with new ink. But I'll have to wait and see. I kind of want another one but I have the same fear you do.

I've promised myself I will get several, if I can ever spare the money. (Sadly, unlikely to happen.) A Legion of Superheroes insignia on either my bicep or shoulder, a velociraptor skull on my forearm, and a stalking cat on the other forearm. (Plus something, to be determined when/if I'm able to get it, on the other shoulder to balance the Legion insignia.)

I've always wanted a tattoo, but have never actually gotten one.
I actually have a severe allergy, I'd like to get a little 'allergy alert' symbol on my wrist rather than wearing a bracelet all the time. My parents are pretty anti-ink, so I figure it's a convenient excuse to get one.
