Re: Venting thread
(Anonymous) 2018-10-04 01:55 pm (UTC)(link)Wait for book.
Wait seems long.
Check tracking number.
Tracking number INCEPTION: sent in England, one English tracking number, then it ended up in Germany, different German tracking number; finally arrives in Austria, Austrian tracking number, which says... "yes, we tried to deliver at your place but you weren'T home, so you can pick it up at this package station" dated YESTERDAY.
Now, I work from home. I am literally ALWAYS HOME during any normal time for a delivery guy. There was never a note in my mailbox to say "we tried but you were out. So yeah, I believe they flat our lied to be lazy and make me come to then. And I go there.
And I ask for my package.
And he straight up tells me "oh, THAT. We had that since Sept. 20th. But you didn't come to get it, so we sent it back this morning. But here, call this number, and maybe they'll still be able to give it to you."
What.
The.
ACTUAL
Fuck.
Spend AGES on hold. And then, after I explain, this (to be fair, quite competent) but SERIOUSLY condescending woman tells me, well, they expect customers to check the tracking numbers and pick things up in a timely manner. And I tell her, okay, but I am not the customer. The person who SENT This to me is your customer, and he sent it through royal mail and has no idea you EXIST (this is a private ebay seller). Long story short, she says they'll make an EXCEPTION and try to deliver it again tomorrow.
The kicker? She makes me repeat ALL the information over their crummy connection. I mean, they have the tracking number which should have all the information with it. But she'S like "where is this supposed to go? Is that a house or an appartment? Spell your name again? And again to confirm?"
I am VERY annoyed.
And am going to camp out in my front yard tomorrow until my stupid expensive book arrives.
