I hope it's good (if it happens).

You'll be able to use a senior discount at the theater by the time it comes out.

Statistically, someone had to be.

(Anonymous) 2018-10-04 10:34 pm (UTC)(link)
Why

Interesting...

(Anonymous) 2018-10-04 10:49 pm (UTC)(link)
... that on a secret that expresses enthusiasm over a piece of media that ultimately doesn't affect the lives of people who don't want it, most of the responses fall into the negative category. It's as if people cannot resist getting in a jab about someone liking something they don't like...

Interesting...

(Anonymous) 2018-10-04 11:13 pm (UTC)(link)
...that a secret that is directly hostile to those who are, lets say, unenthused about this film, would attract responses with a similar level of politeness. It's almost as if OP set the tone...

It said "haters". If people insist on hating on a piece of media that doesn't exist yet and raining upon the enthusiasm of those looking forward to it, maybe they deserve a sharp rap across the knuckles.

a piece of media that doesn't exist yet.... it's based on a piece of media that does exist you utter genius... that is what people would be hating on.....

none of these comments read as all that negative to me. they just seem neutral/non-enthusiastic. did you actually glance at the responses before posting?

Re: Interesting...

I would say more bemused than negative

Or negative about whether the movie will actually come out but that's not quite the same thing is it

I'm not interested in Avatar, but yay for more positivity.

If it ever comes out, I really really hope they show better worldbuilding and character development than they did in the first one. I mean the work's been DONE, it's there, it just didn't make it into the first movie and that was probably the second worst thing about it.

Not holding my breath that'll actually happen, but eh. I'd go for either better worldbuilding OR a better action movie at this point.

(Anonymous) 2018-10-04 11:22 pm (UTC)(link)
Who are you?

(Anonymous) 2018-10-04 11:24 pm (UTC)(link)
James Cameron, I'm guessing.

(Anonymous) 2018-10-04 11:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Are there really haters getting up in arms over the possibility of a sequel? I found the movie underwhelming but that just meant I stopped caring or paying attention.

(Anonymous) 2018-10-05 12:04 am (UTC)(link)
I didn't know anyone still cared enough about the movie to hate it...

(Anonymous) 2018-10-05 02:43 am (UTC)(link)
I hope you enjoy it when it comes out, OP!

(Anonymous) 2018-10-05 02:52 am (UTC)(link)
It’s getting a sequel? Felt like there wasn’t anything left to continue.

(Anonymous) 2018-10-05 03:01 am (UTC)(link)
it's getting more than one. i think the first focuses on the kids.

(Anonymous) 2018-10-05 05:24 am (UTC)(link)
Avatar had to be one of the most boring, sleep inducing films I've ever seen. The only time I nearly snoozed in a theatre.

It doesn't even seem like the general public hate it like OP's implying, it's more like... complete ambivalence and indifference? Most forget this movie even exists.

(Anonymous) 2018-10-05 10:09 am (UTC)(link)
I keep reading Haters as Waters.

(Anonymous) 2018-10-05 10:24 am (UTC)(link)
Sequels. Four of them to be exact.

I could have had good will for one potential followup, but nothing about the original film was interesting enough to warrant milking it that far.
