If the cause of the strange noises/bumps in the night has never killed anyone, driven anyone insane, or caused anyone to kill someone else, and the landline will work even if the power goes out (some of the newer ones won’t) then yeah, I’d go for it. I wouldn’t enjoy the walls weeping blood or smelling decaying corpses under the floorboards, but a million bucks is 50x what I make in a year. Maybe I’d stay for a few weeks and become a multi-millionaire. I’d probably ask my aunt to come with me.
