The latter is definitely stupid as hell. it's bit of a dilemma, though, I think, because the unfortunate reality is that we don't live in a world made up of people who are reasonable. So I think its better that people care about and talk about injustice - even if that means that some of them are chuckle heads who only care about stupid internet bullshit.

I mean, if your point is just that those people are idiots, yes, I agree, but not big enough idiots to reject the enterprise entirely.

Different anon: it's the hypercompetitive woker-than-thou stuff that annoys me. I often feel like scoring points off someone else is more important to those types than the actual issues. And yeah, I feel like a lot of the people who go on and on about Rowling are in that category.
