...but he never wanted to help. At all. Puffin and Speed had to drag him even if it meant when Odette would die if she didn't stop Derek from making the vow to the false one. If anything, Puffin and Speed deserved to be human royalty for all their bravery.

But he did anyway. And he even got a kiss from Odette, which ended up giving him false hope. I know it was meant to be comedic, but having him almost getting eaten by an alligator or croc. or whatever and not even getting to achieve what he wanted in the end was sort of cruel. I'm not saying that Puffin and Speed didn't deserve to be humans as well, but Jean-Bob had just as much right as they did.
