I so completely agree :( And also, EDEN! <3 I think in her case though, her power was just SO insane that they couldn't reasonably keep her around without her pwning everyone left and right (which still would have been awesome).

Eden was too fucking amazing. I loved Candice, too. Why do they have to kill off all of the cool girls. >:|

I loved Eden. She was definitely one of the best female characters they've had on the show. But the rumor going around is that she was actually killed off due to some contract issues with the actress.:x I would have liked to see what they did with her later on in the show otherwise. She was a great character.

I heard they killed off Eden because Nora Zehetner('s people) wanted more money. D: D: D:

But it was still MADE OF FAIL, regardless of why it happened. ;_;

But she died a hero. That's something. She made a great choice in going against her orders to kill Sylar. She resolved the guilt she must have felt for lying to Mohinder by promising him that she would tell him the whole truth...
No idea why Eden had to go, but it was done well, I have no complaints. I loved her, though.

Oh yes, I agree completely. I have no qualms at all about how the character was written out, I'm just sorry that she had to be at all.

I cannot even begin to speculate how different S1 would have been with Eden alive. It's true, her power really is powerful (though by no means invincible). I guess with her, there wouldn't have been Mylar the way we eventually got it on the show.
Heck, had Eden gone through with the plan to tell Mohinder everything, it'd have majorly changed his storyline, as he would not only have a lot of info on the Company and on Sylar, but also someone with a power to DNA test to his heart's content. It'd have changed stuff, and I cannot say in what direction.

That's all very true, and no one can say what would or wouldn't have made for an overall better storyline in the end - not that I had any major problems with what we did get.

I think my initial comment on this conveys more passion than I really feel. I'm not gung-ho about it, I'm not holding a lifelong grudge against TPTB for killing Eden; but in hindsight, I am somewhat nostalgic for all that could've been. Like I said, though, I definitely enjoyed the storyline we got, and I think it would've been a shame also to miss out on that stuff.
