111. Well, I might as well go down swinging.
I agree with you. I don't care how much comic-intellectual cred I lose; I honestly preferred the movie of V over the comic for exactly those reasons. Also, LXG, but I don't think the LXG movie was even trying to be remotely like the comic beyond "Hey, we got these literary peeps together, and the bad guy's Moriarty." But the movie of LXG was just so much more enjoyable for me than the comic. The movie I've been able to watch (not always all the way through) multiple times, and I'm game for it again if it winds up being on TV. The comic...I read it the first time and liked it okay. Every time after, I'm readinging it because I think maybe I missed something, but I'm not particularly enjoying it and I've never been able to go straight through.
Also...I like Skinner better.
I don't think Alan Moore is so much pretentious as just...weird. Eccentric. Frank Miller is pretentious, and I can't stand him. Alan Moore...he's a genius and I'll admit it. But all of his epic tomes of grandeur...eh, not a fan. My favourite things by him are Top 10 and The Killing Joke, and one's wacky fun, and the other is not his original characters.
123. *tears* I think only two things will have me watching that movie: 1) I love Mason. 2) Morbid curiosity to see how they pull it off without Rube. There is no DLM without Rube.

157. I didn't know the Editor was Simon Pegg until recently, but I squeed so much. That was the second episode I saw, and I absolutelyl loved him; easily my favourite of his roles.
164. Well, he was voiced by Rowan Atkinson, so I think you're justified.
169. Morse is adorable, and I can't hate him. Unlike Vogler, who was being a jerk because he was in charge, I felt like he had actually made a good point. I mean, it was misuse of his authority, but from his point of view, it was exactly what House did.
Still, the conflict set my teeth on edge. I hate unfairness.
188. Well, married with three kids, no offense, but I'd hope you wouldn't have the chance. I'd hope I wouldn't either, and I would do things to that man that would make Desire sit up and take notice. In theory.
Oooh, he is so so so so sexy. Haven't seen that pic before, but it's gorgeous.
