Were we... playing the same game? He's like, twelve? - and a very precocious twelve at that. Considering his circumstances, there was a marked lack of whining.

And Shinjiro got himself killed. He was about ten times more prepared to die than Ken was prepared to kill him, and took the bullet of his own accord.

Um, okay?

But really, when did Ken whine? He didn't angst any more than Akihiko did over Shinji's death, and after that he got himself together pretty well for a little kid. Most young boys that age are irritating as piss in comparison, at least I've found.

And I do quote Shinji: "This is the way it should be." As he's dying. He's not fighting it, at least. :/
