Yes, and? We are who we are, and that includes our memories, experiences, and biology. But that doesn't man we don't have free will. Those things aren't mutually exclusive unless you have an extremely narrow definition of free will that would be impossible for anything ever to be and that renders the term completely useless.

I don't know. I left it open because I don't know if there is anything else. But way to skip the whole point of the comment to focus on one detail. Are you seriously advocating a view where no one is responsible for anything ever?

Kinda. I think we're just a chemical reaction gone too far and the idea of taking responsibility is part of the equation, even if it isn't truly possible. It's more a response thing, like when white blood cells attack foreign bodies.
