How did you make it through the first few seasons, then?

Asking as someone who like the show just fine but never got around to the parts where she was.

OP could've found the show mid-run. I did that with Star Trek: TNG and wasn't prepared for the godawful first season episodes.

I've never been able to sit through an entire run of TNG's 1st and 2nd seasons and I say this as someone who liked the 3-7th season runs.
