he's not even funny. i think his most egregious crime is taking up so much screen time that could be dedicated to more interesting characters but instead we get to watch the thrilling story of "what will mineta come in his pants to this time!"

People like you choosing to contrarily champion for such a little creep are why the outright hatred exists in the first place - the gross little fuck can't even be criticized without a 'protection squad' coming on the mildest of criticism with bullshit excuses of, 'he's a teenager!' and 'he's ugly!' and bringing up characters from other series who have loads of development other than perversion and aren't remotely comparable.

Why is this a secret? 80% of the fandom vocally dislikes Mineta for all the reasons you put down.

Personally I'm indifferent towards him. He's a dumb joke character. But I do get kind of tired when I can't go 5 feet through the fandom without someone yelling about how he sucks, like yes I get it he's a creep you don't have to harp on about it.

I like his design tho. He's got a cute lil bean nose!

His design and powers being goofy as hell are his only redeeming points. Not redeeming enough that I wouldn't be happy if he had an unfortunate runin with one of the League of Villains, but attach that power and design to a less repulsive personality and he'd be fine.
