It's not really untrue, though, is it? It's inconsiderate and unkind to say, because there's nothing really wrong with an occasional exercise in narcissism, but on the other hand Ruby is a space alien.

Also, IIRC, it was specifically in the context of whether she would personally want to get married, which makes it less bad to me, but I could be misremembering.

Depends on the wedding. Some people's weddings are just nice gatherings of two people and their loved ones to celebrate. Just like what's pictured in the secret. Nothing narcissistic about it.

I had a wedding and find most of them that I end up going to excessive.
