Ugh, I haaaaaated this movie.

I heard terrible things about this movie, and not much better things about the book to be honest.

I read the book a while ago and really hated how things went down, so I never got around to watching the movie.

I don't know how the movie ended, but the book ending pissed me off, which is sad because I actually really enjoyed everything before it. That conclusion isn't satisfying, it's just creepy and unnecessary, dammit. Instead of learning to move on and accept death, I'm supposed to, what, believe in miracles and spiritual mediums? Even as a teenager myself when I read it, it just felt gross and tacked on.

I read the book and I fully agree - it was one of most wtf endings and I assume film was same. Essentially, all character development goes down the drain in favour of snogs (yep, heard that right).
