Viral hobby trends that you don't get

What are some hobby trends that went viral that you don't get/like?

For me, it's slimes. I keep getting recs for those "overexcited teen/tween girls jabbing their fingers into pastel, neon and glittery slime" videos all the time and it's kind of weird. I think it has some connection to ASMR stuff, which is another thing I don't get (it's really not my thing and it makes me incredibly uncomfortable).

Yeah as a knitter, even I don't get 'arm knitting'. Like... how do you take a break? Do you scooch it onto some poles or something?

I don't mind the slime vids, but ASMR triggers my misophonia and I can't stand it.

Yesss. The whispering is what I hate the most, I think. My misophonia isn't quite that pronounced but whispering and loud chewing always gets me.

I don't have misophonia but I really don't like ASMR, it's just... not soothing or nice to listen to at all and honestly kind of makes my skin crawl.

I don't know why but there's just something really DNW about it for me and I've only seen a 'youtubers react' video of ASMR and I disliked all of it.

Ones I thought I was into ASMR because I love music with crinkling rustling sounds, lounge style. But I don't have patience for YT vids. I'd rather watch some tv series. I wonder what's up with folk who listen to it. Like, it's boring, guys.

Anxiety aid and I have insomnia and it's relaxing. I'm not going to watch a TV series when I'm trying to sleep, that'll keep me up. It's also not as likely to help wind me down into calm during an anxiety jag.

Man, the slime videos are fucking WEIRD. I almost get the vibe with a lot of them that a huge portion of the viewers are watching it bc..... idk it's some kind of weird sex thing?

Like, the girls are invariably pretty young, hot, very bubbly girls. And the whole video is them making a cutesy slime and then up-close shots as they schlorp their perfectly manicured hands around in it? With super loud slimey noises? And they describe their slime like "this slime was soooo smooth and buttery. I just love squishing it around blah blah blah" for ten minutes.

idk it's fucking weird.
