Aw, that is really too bad, Anon. It sucks when a beloved book has a not-so-great sequel.

I felt the same way when i read the sequel to 'The Silver Metal Lover'. Really just not good. At all.

I still haven't read it.

I got the graphic novel of Silver Metal Lover recently, from the Kickstarter, though. That was great.

I checked this book out from the library in 6th grade & was supposed to read it over Winter Break, but it was large & intimidating & I didn't immediately get into it, so I ended up rushing to start & finish The Princess Diaries on the last dat/night of break instead. My aunt had given me The Princess Diaries that year as a Christmas gift.

Anyway, I'm sorry the sequel disappointed you so much. That's such a sucky feeling.

I read the book in high school and liked it, but it's pretty long and dense. Parts of it read like the author wrote it while high.

It bothers me when any media does that. I really like these three characters in this TV show. Guess what? all three of them are gone without explanation in the second season and the humor has gotten noticeably dumbed-down!
