What media hit close to home for you?

During my British crime drama binge yesterday I watched a miniseries called Come Home, and it's been one fucking weird experience. It's about a mother who suddenly walks out on her husband + kids with no explanation. I actually felt freaked out because it was basically like watching my mother's disappearance all over again. Some conversations were almost word-for-word ones that we had, and she basically was my mother, right down to her personality and 'reasons' for leaving.

It was a real Truman Show moment. Have you ever watched/read/seen something which has been eerily, accurately similar to your experiences? How did it make you feel?

Requiem For A Dream. I watched it after my grandmother died from cancer. Towards the end she looked as wasted away as Burstyn's character in the movie.
