162 - I think Gravitation is a starting point for a lot of people - I know it was the first actual canon gay series I watched, and I was SO EXCITED because there was an ACTUAL RELATIONSHIP on the screen! Squeee! Omg! Yuki is sooo hot! Then, the more I got into various fandoms, the more I started to dislike it. Shuuichi in particular annoys the crap out of me. (STOP GOING BACK!) To me, it's a perfect example of why I read slash rather than yaoi - I hate a whiny weeping uke who is a girl with a boy's name. But hey, it's a classic. And you gotta start somewhere~

I love how people say this so often and never find something wrong with implying that being whiny and weeping = being a girl. Thanks, fandom!

I have a long standing irritation towards ANYONE in any series that is whiny and weepy and a damsel in distress of either gender who waits to be rescued. See above, my response to secret 128 - I find Hinamori (a whiny and weepy girl) to be tremendously annoying.
