He was using steroids? Well damn, that's sad.

Yeah, it's too bad. I mean, it's too bad he went there and it's too bad he felt like he needed to. But honestly, I'm kind of under the impression that steroid/HGH use is pretty normalized in Hollywood, especially in "leading man action star" circles. Not unlike how normalized cosmetic procedures are in Hollywood. For some of these actors, it's all just stuff you do for the job. And it's just an open secret.

Not that I'm saying I think every action star out there is jacked up on steroids. But I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of them are. Because it's like, "I'm an actor, and I've got this great role, but I need to look jacked for it - which has nothing to do with my acting, but it's still a requirement of the job. So I could spend four hours a day in the gym...or I could take steroids, and spend three of those hours working on my acting, or hanging with my family." I'm definitely NOT pro steroids, but at the same time, I can see how using them (especially if you can afford the best/least side-effects kind) could start to seem like the rational choice.
