Someone requested another crossover meme, but -- why stick with just crossovers? Here's your chance to request things from any fandom you like -- especially if the fandom is small, obscure, or has no request type of meme available. Hopefully someone else will come along and fill it out, or someone else's request will spark something off in your head that you just have to write --

So here you go!

"Wait... where is Romeo?"

Mercutio heaved a sigh, tightening his grip around the other boy's wrist. "He'll be fawning over a Venus with the heart of Dian all night. Do not worry, he shall not notice we have gone."

Benvolio let out a laugh that turned into a cry of surprise, when Mercutio tugged sharply on his arm. He followed the grinning young man out of the ballroom and through the house, with a stop at the kitchens to steal a bottle of wine and then finally emerging on the highest balcony.

"Mercutio, how did you know that this was here?" he asked breathlessly, taking in the environment-- the music from the party sounded softly here, and the cloudless sky was filled with stars.

"One hears many things," came the cryptic reply as Mercutio uncorked the bottle and took a generous sip, then passed it to Benvolio.

"You're incorrigible," he murmured, unable to keep the grin from spreading across his face.

The musicians finished their song, and the notes were replaced by scattered applause. Within moments, the first strains of a much faster dance could be heard, and Mercutio's eyes began to glitter.

He waited until Benvolio set down the bottle, then darted forward an spun him into the first steps of the dance. They stumbled at first, but Benvolio quickly regained his footing, recalling most of the ladies' steps in the figure.

They began to laugh together, twirling first one way, than another. When they could remember no more steps they simply spun in a circle until one-- neither was quite sure who-- tripped and sent them both sprawling in a heap of giggles and tangled limbs.

"You make a pretty maid," Mercutio commented, stretching his neck to press a kiss to Benvolio's lips.

"You flatter me," Benvolio murmured, twisting closer and returning the kiss.

He sighed softly.

"How long is it now 'til Lammas tide?" he asked softly.

Mercutio furrowed his brow, counting under his breath. "Nearly three weeks, I believe."

Benvolio smiled. "We'll dance together again then."
