Okay, so... it won't make any sense unless you've heard this song. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EOPW3y6V0W8) And it's incredibly cracky. But I guess that's to be expected. *has never attempted to "novelize" dance numbers before*

"I don't know who you think you are, Edward Cullen," the girl practically spat his name in his face, "but the only one who dazzles anyone around East High is me."

He smiles crookedly and says, "I am deeply apologetic that I dared to intrude on your territory." With that, he turns and walks down the hallway.

Sharpay huffs. "You! You are..."

She puts her hands on her hips, a cunning smile playing on her lips. "Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and all together quite impossible to describe."

Edward can't help but be reminded of Rosalie and uses this to his advantage. He stops and turns to face her. "Blonde."

Sharpay 'ugh!'s in disgust, and stomps up to him in beat to the music that suddenly fills the air. She pouts before continuing. "What is this feeling, so sudden and new?"

Disgusted with himself and this odd school he had landed himself in, Edward felt the need to sing in return (some sort of... anti-werewolf security system, he guessed). "I felt the moment I laid eyes on you."

"My pulse is rushing." (Edward had to keep his instincts in check as he realized this was true.)

"My head is reeling."

"My face is flushing." (Damn these teenage girls. Damn them all to hell.)

"What is this feeling? Fervid as a flame, does it have a name? Ye-es...

"Loathing! Unadulterated loathing!"

Not two minutes later, Kelsi walked into the cafeteria to see the students caught up in song. Again.

Led by Sharpay. Again.

Only this time she seemed to be having a singing battle with that new boy (with the cute eyes, Kelsi thought, blushing).

"We share your loathing! Unadulterated loathing! For his face, his voice, his clothing! Let's just say, we loathe it all!" the ensemble was singing.

"Oh, what is this feeling?" Sharpay and Edward sang back, complete with some sort of complicated dance move on top of the twin staircases across the cafeteria from one another.

Kelsi sat and munched on her cafeteria fries. This was going to be interesting.

I've never heard that song, but still! Love it. Sharpay is perfect, and the image of her and Edward singing and dancing on the cafeteria staircase is hilarious.
