Someone requested another crossover meme, but -- why stick with just crossovers? Here's your chance to request things from any fandom you like -- especially if the fandom is small, obscure, or has no request type of meme available. Hopefully someone else will come along and fill it out, or someone else's request will spark something off in your head that you just have to write --

So here you go!

Re: Mr. Small Meets Mr. Nosey, 2/2

Paying was easier said than done.

Mr. Small got in line at the counter and waited for his turn. When he reached the front of the line, he waited for Miss Green to ring up his purchases.

And he waited.

And waited.

Even though Mr. Small was standing right in front of her, she never even glanced his way. She just greeted the customer behind him.

Mr. Small called out to Miss Green, but she didn’t seem to hear him.

Finally, he left the money for his purchases on the counter and walked sadly away.

*

Mr. Nosey was walking past the grocer’s just as Mr. Small was coming out.

He saw the door open a crack and then close again, but he didn’t see anyone come out.

Perhaps you think he would have ignored this mystery.

You wouldn’t think that if you knew Mr. Nosey!

*

Mr. Nosey peered at the door, but it looked quite normal.

So he peered all around the door. The top of it seemed ordinary, and the hinges looked very usual, and the handle looked downright boring.

But at the bottom of the door, Mr. Nosey saw something unexpected.

I bet you know what he saw, don’t you?

That’s right, he saw a discouraged Mr. Small, carrying his shopping.

*

“Hello,” said Mr. Nosey. And because he was nosey, he added, “Who are you?”

Mr. Small almost didn’t answer, because no one ever noticed him enough to speak to him. But when he looked up, he saw that Mr. Nosey was smiling right at him.

“Hello!” replied Mr. Small. Loudly, because he wanted Mr. Nosey to hear. “I’m Mr. Small.”

“I’m Mr. Nosey,” Mr. Nosey told him. “Have you been shopping?” He wondered what was in Mr. Small’s satchel, because Mr. Nosey really was a terribly nosey person.

“I have,” Mr. Small nodded. “And now I’m going home to make my tea.”

“Why don’t you come to my house and have tea with me?” Mr. Nosey offered.

*

Mr. Small agreed, and he accepted a ride on Mr. Nosey’s shoulder. Mr. Nosey could walk much faster than Mr. Small, because he had longer legs.

But then, most people had longer legs than Mr. Small!

Before long, they were at Mr. Nosey’s house, sitting at the table. Well, Mr. Nosey sat at the table, Mr. Small sat on the table.

Mr. Nosey asked lots of questions about Mr. Small, and he was delighted that Mr. Small never got angry at him for being too nosey. Mr. Small was delighted to find someone who not only noticed him, but paid attention to him.

Mr. Nosey ate a raisin scone, a cake, and a cup of tea. Mr. Small ate a raisin, three crumbs from a cake, and a drop of tea.

*

They both thought it was a perfect meal.
