Benio/Haruhi future!fic would be great to see--say, when they're both in university and meet again. The Host Club interferes with some kind of budding romance (I don't think that Haruhi could be in any kind of typical romance because she's so oblivious) and it gets messy. And lolarious, but mostly messy.

Oh, like I need more fics to write. Please, take this plotbunny away from me.

Haruhi made it to university without any more incident than was to be expected, being a member of the Host Club, and by the second semester her hair was long.

"Your hair was short when we met," said Benio, reaching across the table and fingering a strand of it.

"And?"

"It was short." Haruhi was savvy to Tamaki's methods of flattery and immune to them; Benio was not much better than he was, but far less easily flustered. "I like it better this way. Want to come out with me for dinner on Saturday?"

Well, she certainly got straight to the point. "Uh, well, I think I'm--"

"Shhhh," Benio said, and put a finger to Haruhi's lips--she was shocked to find herself blushing. "Don't speak. Tell me tomorrow."

"But tomorrow's Saturday," Haruhi whispered, long after Benio had gone. Rich people, she thought, and wasn't sure whether she was going to say yes or no.

And then Kyouya calls in the Ootori goons to monitor Haruhi's date, Tamaki bursts into dramatic tears from a mile away because he senses that his sweet daughter is in trouble, the Hitachiins LOL through the whole date from the next table ("Whaaaat? Can't we eat here, too?"), and Honey and Mori do something. I don't have much of a handle on their characters.

May I friend you, that we might be friends, like, 4evar?
