when my parents set up their wills and trust for the kids, they surprised us all with 3k each as a bonus. the only time I've ever broken down and cried because I'd been hiding from them how much I really needed money and was too proud to ask. I still don't want to see the rest of that money for another 20 years but it was honestly the best.

worst, well, I haven't gotten anything awful but I have gotten quite a few thoughtless gifts from people who just wanted to fulfill an obligation without considering what I actually like or need. and an ex-friend who was trying to buy my love back and failed.

Getting to keep my cat. Nothing tops that, TBH. She's everything to me.

I got a Kitchenaid Mixer from a Reddit Gift Exchange. It is awesome!

The worst were all those damn origami kits my parents would get me for Christmas.

I've gotten so many awesome ones I can't pick a best but the worst is easy. Somebody who didn't like me got my name in a secret Santa and gave me a bunch of monogrammed stuff. With the wrong initial.

The best is street art of my name my brother bought me in San Francisco & gave me for Christmas when I was 5 or 6.

The worst is probably wax for at home wax hair removal from my mom, also for Christmas.

I drew a portrait of a close friend years ago, he loved it and had it on his wall up until he passed away. His son then put it in a beautiful frame and gave it back to me, saying how his dad always showed it off when he had friends over.

Worst was probably a handbag from someone at work for Christmas. The thought was lovely, but it was one of the most hideous bags I'd ever laid eyes on. I wore it out for a while out of courtesy, and even my friends weren't afraid of telling me how ugly it was.
