The tumblr antis have a problem with Ao3 because it allows content they hate and its made to protect writers over their own preferences. Essentially Ao3 won't ban the stuff they want banned. And with a lot of tumblr antis- everything they hate is either abuse apologism or pedophilia somehow.

And most Tumblr antis/SJWs hate everything.

Does AO3 allow sexual content involving children?

Yes.

With a very solid ratings system, yes it does. If said content is not explicitly rated and tagged (Or explicitly Not Rated, and Not Using Archive Warnings), that's grounds for an abuse complaint.

So if you're worried about straying into it accidentally, don't be.

If you're worried it's hosted there at all... *shrug*

I'm told many of the people who write it are themselves survivors, using fiction to get a grip on traumatic past events. It's not my bag, though, I don't write or read it, so I can't give you useful information on whys and wherefores.

If it's on the site, then it's a strawman to talk about antis "thinking everything they dislike is pedophilia". It's totally irrelevant to the argument at hand.

In that I've seen their blogs literally declaring that anyone who disagrees with them is a paedo showing their true colours, no, I don't think it's a straw man.

And they're doing all this on Tumblr, which is rife with porno blogs shoving content through any "Safe" setting I put on my account, it drives me up the wall. Can I think they're hypocritical in their choice of platforms? Is that okay?
