109. Don't let moving onto different fandoms diminish your friendship. Even if they lose interest in GS, that doesn't make them any less your friends. It may make coming up with topics to talk about difficult, but if you really want to remain friends with them regardless of what happens, then you'll have to try.

Secondly, well... frankly, most series ARE presented from a hetero standpoint. It's the norm. Some shows are slowly turning in the other direction (take Torchwood, for example), but as it stands now most of the creators themselves are viewing their series with het goggles.

Now, I'm not saying that seeing slash pairings is bad. Het fans do the same thing when they take two characters who've had little screen time together and pair them up, for example. If people have an argument for it, then I can see it, regardless of whether or not it's a canon ship.

But yes, Kaiba is one of my favorites too <3 It's definitely the best anime of 2008.
