sorry, but when you watch tv, whether it's a tv show with "actual people" or animation, it's always 2D. imagining yourself with an actor/person you've never met IRL is the same as imagining yourself with a cartoon character. 2D is everything you see on paper, on tv, whatever. so if you can do it with an actor that you've never seen in all his three glorious dimensions it's not different at all to do it with an animated character or something. i think it's pretty obvious that if someone wants to fantasize about being with a person they've never met, whether it's real or fictional, they need to imagine themselves on the same reality level. and as we have, you know, three dimensions, so do our fantasies.

Well...yes. As I said, some people can do it, but not me. I've never been able to fantasize with anyone I haven't seen in real life, 3D. I suppose I'm uncreative that way, but oh well.
