Horror creators.

Who are your favorite horror creators (directors, writers, artists)? Movies, games, books, whatever.

RL Stine is a classic. I like his later stuff better, though. The Haunting Hour is great.

Steven King's stories are generally awesome.

My favorite horror authors are Dean Koontz and Joe Hill (I have never liked Stephen King which sucks because someone just bought me two of his books).

Best director is John Carpenter. He has so many good movies, especially The Thing and Halloween. Alfred Hitchcock has great classic horror movies. They may not seem super scary these days, but they are still good.

Konami HAD the Silent Hill series but they really fucked that up. Now we will never get Silent Hills. :(

I love the online horror writings of Mercer Scott and Amity Argot.

Soren Narnia, Adam Bash, and K.A. Statz are all great horror/podcast writers.

The first 4 Silent Hills are untouchable for me. I know 4 is contentious but I really warmed to it after a few playthroughs. It had a lot of gameplay issues (no one likes escort missions, Konami) but there are some visuals/sounds from it that I'll never get out of my head.
