Ah, ok

Why

(Anonymous) 2018-10-20 11:09 pm (UTC)(link)
Because A reminded me of B, and commenting is what we do on this community?

(Anonymous) 2018-10-20 11:14 pm (UTC)(link)
OK. But you don't think it's actually relevant to the secret at all. It just reminded you of it.

I mean, it's on topic, so I'm not sure what your beef is here? Care to explain?

(Anonymous) 2018-10-20 11:23 pm (UTC)(link)
I mean, I think the common sense reading of the comment is ghat you're comparing the two - to say that because religious nut jobs do this thing, that Keira Knightley is wrong for doing it. I don't think it makes a lot of sense to say otherwise. But what do I know.

Knightley is monitoring her child's media intake for ideological purposes. I'm not making a judgment about whether that's good or bad - it's not my judgment to make because, again, it's her kid - but yes, it reminds me of religious parenting. And I think that's a valid comparison to make, and I'm curious about why that's rubbed you the wrong way?

I guess it feels to me like the judgment is implicit in the comparison and really, unavoidable.
