This. This I believe is a valid reason, and would be the reason why I wouldn't let my own babies watch movies and TV. None of this "don't teach my girl to wait around for men" nonsense. That lesson, while important, is on the parents, not Disney, the Brother's Grimm, nor Hans Christian Andersen. I can promise you that such a thing never even occurred to me watching Disney movies when I was little.
