So naming the episodes after kung fu moves isn't particularly poetic or any more creative than, say, Friends' "The one with the..." motif.

Ok... explain how naming episodes of a kung fu show after kung fu moves is creative, because from the outside it sounds a lot like naming your dog Woof-Woof. They didn't "create" anything with these titles - they pulled them wholesale from a list of kung-fu sequences that they thought sounded cool.

There's nothing wrong with them. They're just not creative or poetic. There's plenty of good cats named Fluffy, friend.
