Well, I’d hope most people who didn’t want to vote would just turn in a spoiled ballot—draw a dick on it and call it a day, or whatever.

But I’d also hope that everyone who has an opinion but thinks voting is too much trouble would vote, and most importantly, efforts to disenfranchise people (usually poor POC, students, and other likely democratic voters) wouldn’t be able to get anywhere.

Which is vastly preferable to the current all-but-declared Republican position that only middle-aged white people, rich people, and conservative retirees should vote. So far this election cycle there’s been highly publicized, mostly successful efforts to prevent black people (in Georgia) and Native Americans (in North Dakota) from voting.
